Role:
Encourage and assist skills development and training throughout the New England region of NSW.
Objectives:
Promote skills development and training
- Conduct the annual New England Regional Training Awards
- Engage local industries and communities
- Engage with industries and individuals to promote VET
Facilitate industry and community engagement in VET
- Encourage participation in skills development
- Support transition of young people to school and work
- Increase industry and community awareness of available VET funding and related programs
Implement Promotion and Communication Strategies
- Develop and implement a communication and engagement strategy
- Review effectiveness of communication and engagement strategies
- Include Acknowledgement of Country/Welcome to Country at every GNSDG event including meetings
Implement and Maintain Sound Governance Processes
- Review and manage major sponsorship arrangements
- Develop a financial plan to sustain the group
- Refine Information Technology support systems
- Establish and support relevant sub-committees
- Prepare an annual report on activity
Assist Stakeholders to Improve the Quality of VET
- Facilitate ongoing Professional Development
- Advocate and share information in relation to VET
